Introduction to the Alexander Technique for musicians

Course outline:
July 2
The morning will be divided into two sessions:
Part 1 will be a discussion, familiarizing the group with some of Alexander’s basic principles, and their application to music.
Part 2 will be a practical session, exploring how these principles play a role in playing an instrument and in musical performance.
Lunch (included)
Afternoon:
Each course participant will receive an individual lesson.
Evening:
*Free Concert of Classical Voice and Lute, and Spanish guitar
July 3
Morning:
Part 1 Further discussion of Alexander's principles
Part 2 Practical session
Lunch

Cost: £40 (inclusive of course and lunches)
AMS Mecina option price is available on application, depending on number of nights requested.
*This concert is part of the 'Music for the Mountains' series. These voice, lute and Spanish guitar concerts are every night from June 30th until July 3rd.
