There are a number of different types of accommodation available in the vicinity of Ferreirola, including hotels, cottages, B&Bs, camping, budget beds and hostels.
Hotels:
The region has a number of hotels to choose from.
Guidebooks and websites offer a comprehensive selection of options in Pitres, Portugos, Bubion, Capileira, Pampaneira etc. but you will need your own transport.
AMS Mecina Option-arranged through AMS:
The Alexander Music School can arrange for you to stay in the Hotel Albergue de Mecina. Victor and his staff offer guests a warm welcome and friendly service. The hotel has a large bar, restaurant, comfortable lounge, and an outdoor pool set in attractive grounds. Mecina and Ferreirola (where AMS is) are within an easy 15 minute stroll of each other. For the energetic, the route along the river gorge is an invigorating way to start the day.
AMS can arrange the following special prices for 2006:
Double room, single occupancy 65 euros + 7% VAT
Double room, couple sharing, 75 euros + 7% VAT
Suite, based on 2 people sharing a 2 bedroom suite. 100 euros + 7% VAT
The spacious suites are comprised of 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a balcony, and a small kitchen area with a fridge.
The price also includes buffet breakfast served daily in the hotel restaurant and all the lunches, music evenings and parties organised by the Alexander Music School.
Other Options:
For those who prefer to stay in a more intimate environment, Bed & Breakfasts or mountain cottages may be more appealing.

Located on the main road to Pitres with restaurant, snack bar, washing machines, hot water, swimming pool, childrens playground, bungalows and activities arranged at reception. Pets allowed on plots (not in rented accommodation).
Musical instruments may be left over night at owner’s risk in the Alexander Music School.
