About David Chadwick:
David Chadwick graduated with a first class
honours degree at the Birmingham Conservatoire studying with
Jacqueline Ross, having previously studied with Vladimir Malinin
in Weimar, Germany. He has had considerable success in competitions
winning all the top string playing and chamber music prizes
during his time at the Conservatoire. He was also awarded
a BBC Radio Music Fellowship in 1998 and took first prize
in the Ludlow Philharmonic Concerto Competition in 2002. In
2003, David was selected as a finalist from the eight UK Conservatoires
for the NYOS Staffa Award, taking third place in Fyvie Castle,
Aberdeenshire.
He has performed concertos by Shostakovich and Rimsky-Korsakov
and is currently preparing for performances of both the Kabalevsky
and Bruch concertos. He has also given many solo recitals
in the UK and has toured Germany, Poland and the Ukraine.
David is currently undertaking postgraduate study at the Franz
Liszt Academy aided by a Joseph Weingarten Scholarship.
