The "'Music in the Mountains" festival is a series of predominantly classical concerts taking place in and around the seven picturesque white villages of La Tahá in the Alpujarras in the south of Spain. The Alpujarras is a large and beautiful mountainous area which includes the southern side of the Sierra Nevada range.
AMS and the Town Hall of La Taha created this festival to bring musicians from all over the world to perform in the area alongside Alpujarran musicians. The concert locations include the threshing floors, plazas and churches of the villages. This very popular festival is now in its seventh year.
