University Music Department, Taptonville Road, Broomhill, Sheffield
This workshop is suitable for teachers, students and performers. Cat will start the workshop with a general open discussion about nerves in performance and stage fright. She will demonstrate how, through the application of the principles of the Alexander Technique, performers with these difficulties can be greatly helped.
After a break for refreshments, she will work with the pupils of some ISM members in a masterclass (let us know if you would like to 'volunteer' a pupil), with the emphasis on combating nerves and stage fright, rather than on a discussion of the performance itself.
